Blog Love

Hooray! One of my favorite blogs, Crafting A Green World, included some photos of my uses for sewing pattern tissue paper in today's post. Check it out here. There are some great ideas there from some really talented people.
If you're using patterns, don't forget the instruction sheets are great too. I use them for making tiny envelopes but I'm sure there are a myriad of uses for them.
Yay for repurposing!

  1. I've just been making envelopes with a template that looks very similar to that! When I saw the picture I was thinking "something looks very familiar here!"

  2. I've been tinkering with the idea of using vinyl for my patterns, yours looks like leather. Does it seem to hold up well?
I really need a durable solution that's flexible enough to use on felt and fabric alike. Something I can poke pins thru ^_^

  3. Laura - great minds and all. :D

Tumus - actually that's just a piece of cardboard from a gift box but it works great for paper. For my felty things I use a piece of tightly felted wool when I need a template. I have some from a coat I felted that lays flat that I like to use but I think leather would work equally well. Purse leather maybe?
