Sometimes You Win

...and sometimes you WIN! I have been on the prowl again for some specific vintage buttons for a project that's in my head and whilst searching through a recent button purchase found these amazing buttons. Now, you should know that I am a fan of natural materials and I have a deep fondness for agates, so when I pulled these sweeties from the pile I let out a happy little squeal. Aren't they beautiful? I wish I had a jeweler's sensibility because I'm sure they could be worked into something fabulous. I'm not sure what to do with them, any ideas?

  5. Or even earrings. They remind me of dew drops. It's like a stone you found in the river bed and washed clean so very pretty ^_^

Even one of your branch brooches with these hanging off of them would look smart!

  6. wow!!! I would keep them for myself. I would string them on a ribbon, knotting so they are separated, and tie it on my neck for closure. plus I would put smaller little bits of something at the end of the ribbon and let it hang several inches down my back.

  7. Wow, what a treasure! I would want to use them to make jewelry. Either pretty, dangly earrings or a necklace. You could also make some felted beads to incorporate into the necklace. I'm sure you'll have fun with them!

  9. Oooh echoing everyone, what a find indeed, my friend !!! I'd see them as earrings or a necklace, of course, and also as ... um, let me see ... maybe used on a lamp shade, or ... they could be the center of a flower (such as echinacea) ... oh well, maybe I'm not very original !
I hope you're all doing great, sweet friend. Kiss your 4 little & big angels for me, please. And here's huge hug for you only xoxoxoxox

  12. ooohh i can just imagine the little leap your heart must've done when you found these amongst your button treasure trove!
i saw them in your flickr stream and had to come over for a proper nosey - they're big and i bet they're heavy eh? They'd be gorgeous as a piece of jewellery perhaps just one as a pendant with a tiny key and some button charms something "steam-punky" yes definately just one , then send the spares to me - ha ha ha!
