I just knew we were kindred spirits! My oven is broken too and still not fixed (landlord issues) .. but you're more creative I've just stuck to stovetop meals :)
Oh no, not you too Jovita! My whole stove/oven is broken. I have a microwave, crockpot, toaster, and grill to use until it gets fixed. It wouldn't seem like a problem but sometimes you really need a stovetop, you know? :D
I once baked beer bread in a dutch oven over a fire. I'll keep the grill idea in mind for when we loose power again, which is frequently in Washington.
