Which reminds me, I saw a gigantic, amazingly beautiful one at the antique store a while ago and desperately wanted it. Alas, my bank account wouldn't allow it :( Anyway, I'm hopping over there now!Brittany | the Home Groundhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12102284763530010289noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-31186364.post-71262142069344057992010-06-23T15:19:44.140-05:002010-06-23T15:19:44.140-05:00Thanks so much for stopping by, ladies!

If you fear that the crack will cause the bowl to break, you might want to apply a patch. It was common for people to repair these bowls with some kind of makeshift patch. If the crack isn't affecting the integrity of the bowl, you could probably leave it. I oil my bowls every couple of months with a wood oil, and I keep them out of sunlight and extreme temperature changes. Beyond that, I'm not sure there's much else you can do except consider the aging process part of its beauty. How lucky you are to have your grandmother's piece, that is really wonderful.Lisa at lil fish studioshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15264613554041175072noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-31186364.post-69023624323214130772010-06-23T15:11:35.618-05:002010-06-23T15:11:35.618-05:00I have my grandmother's wooden butter bowl and...I have my grandmother's wooden butter bowl and her wooden butter paddle.
