I started tinkering with an idea yesterday and have on my workbench a couple of birds in rough draft. I don't often practice before I make something but I'm trying to get the shapes worked out. Right now they're just fuzzy little shapes made of wool but soon I hope to have a whole flock of wee birds on hand. (in hand?)
My daughter was so serious about watching the birds that she decided to camouflage herself and pull out the binoculars.
Someone should tell her she's looking through the wrong end.
Your daughter looks absolutely adorable! :) How sweet.
ReplyDeleteLove the little red birds and your daughter is just cute as can be.
ReplyDeleteThe birds are cute but Little E is absolutely adorable. What a cutie!
ReplyDeleteShe is so adorable but now that I've seen her in a birthday suit twice...(the last time eating her birthday cake), doesn't she get friggin' cold in your arctic country??!!!??? I'm getting goosebumps just looking at the photo.
ReplyDeleteCamouflage thing is way too funny. And yeah, teach the woman how to use her binoculars, will ya?
I love those little red birds! They remind me of a red glass bird I have that once belonged to my grandmother. She may be looking through the wrong end of the binoculars but she has the camoflauge right.
ReplyDeleteThe birds are way too cute! Can't wait to see what's next for them!
ReplyDeleteThe pictures of your daughter made my day. Not only is she totally adorable, but the reversal of the binoculars caught my funny bone in a hearty guffaw! Thank you for the laugh!
Love the little birdies and your daughter is ADORABLE! You have a future birdwatcher or astronomer on your hands!
ReplyDeleteE is cracking me up!! So hilarious! I love the camouflage, I think Cabela's really needs to look into the finger-painted look.
ReplyDeleteThe little red birds she's watching for are super nice. Will you be needle-felting feather or wings onto them? Love them :)
First I am laughing and saying - yes out loud to myself - she didn't just "a bird in the hand is..." then I scroll down and laugh at your "Someone should tell her..."
ReplyDeleteLook at her so serious and how can you even see her she's in Camo-mode! thanks for putting some sunshine in this crazy snow bound Canadian day!
Red bird, red bird what do you see....
ReplyDeleteSo cute. Love the camo bird girl.
These birds are absolutely adorable, and so is your birdwatching daughter... ;)great camouflage!
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness. Those teal green arms made me LOL.
ReplyDeleteToo cute.
Aw, thanks so much everybody! I'm glad you got a kick out of the camouflaged beastie too.
ReplyDeleteKaren - I know! All of my kids prefer to be nudie. I don't know why.
Britt- they'll have wings but I don't think I'll get too detailed with these. We'll see.
Your daughter reminds me of my son and a picture I have of him with his arms all green from a project he was working on. 2 cute!
ReplyDeleteI was just over at your etsy shop and looking at past posts... WOW! I'm in awe of your talents! Where on earth do you come up with the ideas?? That's my problem ~ thanks for sharing!

ReplyDeletei bet the birds didn't see her at all
