The other day I horrified serenaded my oldest son with this song. I remember listening to it on my aunt's record player and thinking it was hilarious. He was slightly less enthused.
To all of you, I wish a good weekend minus birds of paradise and elephant toe-massages.
:) This was one of my favorite childhood songs, thanks for the smile this morning!
ReplyDeleteGlad you liked it, Mel. :)
ReplyDeleteThat is hilarious!!! That surely puts a smile on your face when you hear it. Thanks Lisa!
ReplyDeleteI am sending this to my father because he will now sing this incessantly to the annoyance of my mother.
ReplyDeleteHere's another charmer I learned in my daycare days:
Oh I wish I was a little
bar of soap.
Oh I wish I was a little
bar of soap.
To go-a slippey and a slidey
over everybody's hiney...
Oh I wish I were a little
bar of soap.
Love it! I'd never heard that song before. I'll have to horrify my boys with it.
ReplyDeleteOh that's so funny! I remember my Dad singing that song when I was a little shaver ~ about 50 years ago. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteOh am I glad I stopped by Lisa.....my boys and I used to sing this at the top of our lungs...I had forgotten the whole song, but who can forget the best part....thank you for the big smile I am now wearing..... :)
