I remember when I lived in Wisconsin a few years back noting that I never really appreciated the beauty of a crocus until going through a very long and very cold winter. This is a beautiful and hard earned photo.
I just love the tiny flowers that come out this time of year. There is a patch of tiny pink flowers on my walk to work that just came up a couple days ago. The rain we've been getting is encouraging everything to grow, I love it!
These are hepatica, or liverwort. They're the very first flower to show up in our woods each spring. It's always an exciting day when we spot the first ones.
