I *love* these!
Those are beauties!!! The gills underneath are perfect!
OOOHHH! They looked like the real thing at first glance.
These are lovely, Lisa!! I love the gills and everything. You are so darn good with felt and fiber of all kinds. What did you end up trying with the Pygora fiber?
Perfect! Experiencing gill-envy, big time. ;)
Thanks so much everybody. It was good to sit down and work on these yesterday. It's been a while since I've been able to work and this was just what my hands wanted to do.Britt- I decided the Pygora was a bit out of my budget right now. I'll have to wait for a bit. I'll let you know when I do try it though. :)
Fascinating! I would love to see a video of how you make these. I know you said you painstakingly needlefelted the gill felt into the cap, but I still want to SEE how you do it. I just ordered my first needlefelting kit and am a little nervous about starting. Excited, too! You get the credit for inspiring me to try it.
Yes wordless Wednesday— you have left me speechless! I LOVE these!!!
I just pinned this photo on pinterest. I just love these mushrooms, so creative and detailed.
Denise - hooray for needlefelting! You'll love it. Stock up on band-aids. :) Actually, I share my gill "technique" in a new book by Lark Books, called "Scrap-Happy Felt". It will be out in October. K - thanks for the awesome compliment!knittinginatree - Thanks!
