rainbows after rain

We had a heck of a storm blow through this morning.
I stopped counting at 19 trees down in our yard.
My little ones made it safely to school and though we're all a little shaken up, all is well.

After that I needed a rainbow and since mother Nature wasn't providing it, I made one of my own.

Take care everyone, and I hope you have a great day.

Hi! Long-time follower, rare-commentor.

Anyways, it is so terrible so many of your trees came down. It really just changes the landscape, and takes so long to recover. I know first hand - it happened to me once when a tornado went through our property growing up. And I imagine with your love of nature, it will be a difficult thing to accept :(

Glad everyone is safe, though!

Good gracious, that WAS a storm! Glad you are all okay. Hope the cleanup goes smoothly and provides some firewood for next year.
I love the acorns :)

19 trees down is really an awful lot !! :( Will you use that wood this winter ? I hope so. Or reuse the wood for one of your treasures of pieces of art !
The rainbow looks magical, I feel like touching all the acorns ! So glad your babies made it safely to school, what a scare.
xoxo

Thanks so much, everyone. After getting out there with the chainsaw, there were far more trees down than I had counted at first. It will serve us well as firewood next year. I'm thankful it wasn't worse.
