traveling vicariously through my art-o-mat stones

It's always so fun to see where my Art-o-mat stones have ended up.  I think this means that my last batch has sold out.  I guess now I need to work on the next one.

an art-o-mat kind of valentine

Happy Valentine's Day, lovelies!
I finished up my last little Art-o-mat stone yesterday morning (yay!) and I'll be boxing them and sending them off on Monday.  Hopefully they'll turn up in a machine near those of you that have been asking, soon.

Have a great weekend!

Art-o-mat stone progress

I'm still working on those little stitched stones for Art-o-mat.  My self-imposed deadline of Dec. 31 went whooshing past but I'm trying not to beat myself up about it.  I'm making progress, slowly, but surely.  I'll get there eventually.

What are you working on this weekend?

second edition of Art-o-mat stones on the go

I've finished my second edition of Art-o-mat stones.
50 all packed in their boxes and headed out to  Art-o-mat.

If you find one in a machine near you, I'd love it if you'd let me know. I'll travel vicariously through them.

Have a good day, everyone, and a Happy 4th of July to my American friends!
Have a fun and safe holiday.

working on some stones for the Art-o-mat

I'm feeling stitchy.
Working on the next batch of stones to send to Art-o-mat.

I can't wait to find out where this next batch lands.  On my last stub from them it looked like stones had shown up at the Smithsonian, the Visual Arts Center in Richmond VA, the Whitney, the Cosmopolitan, here in Minnesota - in St. Cloud, and a Whole Foods in Texas.

I wish I could travel along with them and see the sights.

the Art-o-mat stones have landed

Rumor has it, my Art-o-mat stones have made their way to the Visual Arts Center in Richmond, Virginia.  If any of you are in the area and happen to see it, I'd love to hear.  And if you're so bold as to snap a pic and share it with me, it would probably make my whole day.

Speaking of stones, I've finished a few and they, along with the tiny terrariums and a few other pieces, will be in my shop sometime next week.  I'll be sure to post beforehand, with the exact day and time.  It looks like it will be a chilly weekend here (but without all the snow that my neighbors to the south got, thank goodness) so there should be plenty of time for stitching.  Who knows what else might work its way out through my hands.

I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!

off they go

 The Art-o-mat stones are finished.

The packaging has been stamped.

 And painted.

And stitched.

The boxes have been assembled and the "about me" has been printed and folded.

The stones have been wrapped and packed.

The boxes have been wrapped in acetate and packaged up and now off they go, to an Art-o-mat somewhere.

If/when I find out where, I'll be sure to spread the word.

Have a good almost-Friday everyone.

Art-o-Mat visit

I had my first Art-o-Mat visit yesterday on the campus of the College of Saint Benedict in St. Cloud.  I liked that the statue next to it was pointing at us as if to say "You there, kerplunk that $5".

No problem there.  The only problem I had was choosing from all the handmade goodness.

Ultimately, the promise of a Little Minnow lured me in (pun totally intended).  Isn't it cute?

I'll be finishing up my little stones to send off to Art-o-Mat this coming week and I hope that whoever kerplunks them has a much fun as I did.

I'm an artist in cellophane!

An artist in cellophane?  You may be saying "I don't really need to know the details of your personal life, Lisa", but it's nothing like that I promise.  I've been accepted as an AIC artist and some of my work is going to be in an Art-o-Mat machine near you!  (well, maybe not near you, but somewhere)

So if you see my little tag in an Art-o-Mat machine, and feel like kerplunking $5, you'll receive one of my small felted stones and support a super cool organization.

I'm in the process of making an edition of 50 and once they're completed they'll be on their way to Art-o-Mat.  I'm not sure in which machine they'll end up, but if/when I know, I'll be sure to post here.

If you want to learn more about Art-o-Mat, check out their website.  And keep your eyes peeled for a machine in your neck of the woods.  Kerplunk!
