stones for sale this Sunday

Ah life.

Here, just days after showing this photo and talking about how I was plotting a future project for these stones I find myself with an unexpected expense and a change of course.

I'll be putting these stones, and a couple more, up for sale this Sunday as I'm able.

pre-order stone grab bag

I'm finding I need a little extra motivation to keep up with my stitching so I'm trying something new. To keep my fingers moving, I'm offering a limited edition of middlin' sized stones, on a pre-order, "I like surprises" sort of situation in my shop with staggered ship dates over the next 3 weeks. I'll have a deadline to meet and you'll be motivating an artist AND have a new stone in your hand.

This is a grab bag sale, so you will not be able to pick a specific stone, but they will be indicative of my general style. (those above are examples only)

If you're interested in a stone, and willing to help my fingers stay stitching, please stop by my shop and have a look.

shop update today

The 10-day stones are in my shop and will go live at 9am central time today.

The giveaway winners will be picked tomorrow, Saturday morning, by one of the kiddos.

I haven't stitched a stone since Tuesday given some long work days but you can bet I'll be doing it this weekend.

eggs of shimmer and earth

I've been channeling my inner magpie. Building nests and filling them with shiny things. (I know they don't really collect shiny things, but I love the imagery anyway) My wandery mind grew interested in the idea of giving birth to the things one has experienced and I daydreamed about birds who saw glittering snowflakes, the smallest of ferns; who then laid fantastical eggs full of shimmer and earth. 

Imagine what our own eggs would look like, imprinted with our memories.

These special nests and stone eggs, my offering to Spring, will be in my shop today along with some new nest brooches and a couple of stone necklaces. I'll be working on putting them in this morning so you'll likely see them pop in there, one by one.

I've finally put these two stones in my shop today. I needed color today and bam! these have it.

A little bit of shop-tending before making my daughter's birthday cake, wrapping presents, and packing for a weekend away. Much to do, much to do.

almost there

I added a few new stones to the growing pile on my worktable.

I'm planning on putting these in my shop next weekend, Sunday Oct. 12 at noon, Central Time.

There will be stones in many sizes and it's my hope that everyone who has wanted one will be able to get one.

an autumnal shop update

There are a few woolies in my shop tonight.  Some acorns for your autumn table, naturally-dyed fairies, and some brooches to spruce up your fall wardrobe.

I'd be delighted if you'd stop by and have a look.

middlin' stones for sale

Those smallish/middlin' sized stones I've been working on are now in the shop, in grab bag style.

By listing them as a grab bag, and not having to photograph and create a listing for each individual stone, I'm able to offer them at a lower price.  So, if you're purchasing, you won't get to choose your specific stone but I hope the right stone chooses you.

Here they are, my latest stitched stones.  I think there must have been some extra magic attached to the stones I hauled home from gitchigami because these stones really flowed for me.  They're larger than most of my stones and feel really nice in the hand.  Visually, I find this batch really appealing, too.  I hope you do as well.

I decided to try something new and though I'm not sure it's something I will do after this, I felt it was worth a try.  Instead of putting these in my shop as normal, I have put these up on ebay.  You'll notice that they're priced below what I normally price my stones of this size and complexity so if you're so inclined to bid on one, you might just snag yourself a bargain.

The auction is only up for a short time, but for those that seem to miss out on the stones when I list them, I hope this will provide a larger window of opportunity.
