Rainy Day Wander

I took a short wander after the rain with my new camera.  Yay!  New camera!  It's a bit more complicated than my trusty point and shoot that I've been using (and will continue to use), but I'm having fun figuring it out and am loving the depth that it's offering me.

The grey rain clouds are still covering the sky, and I can feel the damp chill even with a sweatshirt on.  It is quiet and still and I'm grateful for the peace.

Here's wishing you some peace even if your skies are grey today.

yes, it's grey, rainy (drizzling actually), muggy and windy (what a cocktail) over here, but rainy days in the city are NOT fun, not a bit.
So thank you so so much for this virtual walk in the woods with you ! And YAYAYAYAY for a new camera ! You were already extremely talented with the point & shoot, I wonder how it will be now with the new camera !!!
hugs & kisses oxoxo

Sonia - I hope the "cocktail" is easier to swallow soon. Thanks so much for the vote of confidence. I'm still new at the whole fancy camera thing.

Regina - I bought a Canon EOS Rebel Xsi and so far I love it. I'm a total nube at the dslr but even when using the auto settings, my photos have a much better quality about them.

I LOVE my DSLR. I use a Nikon D40 which they don't make any more, but they have another model that's similar already out. I've heard good things about that Canon though. My hubby has a Canon and we're always arguing about who has the better resolution/settings/lens combos LOL.
Sometimes i wish we had the same brand because then we'd only have to buy one set of lenses for both of us.

I just a new polarized lens cap for one of my lenses for our AZ trip. It was wonky to figure it out at first, but that's the joy of having a camera :)
