a just because giveaway

Thank you to everyone who stopped by or helped spread the word about my shop update on Tuesday.  All of my new work has gone to good homes and you'll see the shop is now empty.  I'm headed out for a few days to spend time with family and friends, and do some exploring.

While I'm gone I thought we could have a little giveaway.  Lark Books kindly provided me a second copy of 'Heart-Felt Holidays', to which I contributed a couple of projects, including that little heart brooch with the mushrooms on the cover.

Let's give a little surprise "just because" gift to someone you know.  Leave a comment below telling me who you would like to send this book to and why.

I'll wrap up the book all pretty like a present.

If you win, I'll contact you for their full name and address and send the book to them with a note letting them know you were thinking of them.

I'll ship worldwide.  I'll draw a winning name on Tuesday, October 23rd.

Thanks so much, everyone!  Have a wonderful weekend.  See you soon.

This giveaway is now closed.

Oh I love this idea. My friend Maureen is a teacher and an artist. For the past year she has been fighting an aggressive form of cancer. It has knocked her for a loop. As an artist Maureen loves fiber and textile arts. I think receiving a surprise gift in the mail of any kind would be fun but this book would be right up her ally. Fingers crossed that she is the lucky winner.

Peace!

Stopped by the shop the other day, looking wistfully at your work. I love the little landscapes, sometime they look so familiar.

One day I would love to own one.

I would give the book to my sister Tracie. She loves to make things out of felt and has been having a tough time lately so she could do with the cheering up of that lovely book.

Xx

A friend who just discovered how lovely it is to work with felt!

I'd send it to my son. Yep. To the ten year old boy currently sleeping in the room down the hall. He has recently discovered a love of sewing with felt. I think this would be a lovely way to encourage him further. (:

Congrats on your shop selling out. With your beautiful creations it's no wonder they get snapped up so quickly! (:

I'd very much like to give this book to my norwegian friend. We see each other too seldom, due to the many miles that lies between us. Both of us like to do handiwork, and I really miss to be able to show her things I've made, ask her questions about techniques and colours - and most of all - just to sit next to her and talk, knit or sew. I'm sure she could make lots of beautiful things inspired by this book!

This would be perfect for my friend Jungrrl over at Craftster. Not only could she use a break from everyone else's craftiness for a little of her own, but she has been pinning felt ornaments for Christmas ideas already. This book would be right up her alley.
Thanks Lark Books and Lisa for doing the giveaway!

I'd choose my friend Laurie. She loves felt. She is a winemaker like me, but she is married to her job, and I wish she would devote some time to relax and create beautiful things with a material she likes so well.

I have a super talented and creative aunt who experiments with a lot of different materials and I'm sure she would like to give felt a try!
Thank you!

I would love to be able to send this to my niece Cristen. She has a little one (he's 1 1/2) and has just opened up an organic baby food store. They are positively strapped for cash and I know she would absolutely love this little treat and could use it to make homemade holiday gifts for family and things for her little one.

Thank you so much
