clay play

I had the clay out and did some playing yesterday.  Tinkering, if you will.  Just for fun, just for me.  The sun even made an appearance.

It was just what I needed.

lisa, your work is so beautiful! i always love when artists/crafters do more than one thing, yet are all related! how do you fire your clay when you are done? i can't wait to see how these come out! i really love the organic shapes and texture, i have been really drawn to these reflections of nature lately!

p.s. i hope you don't mind that i pinned one of your photos:

oh, it's very cool. i can't believe you have cool clay like that in your yard. the color is great! and i am deeply envious of your sunshine. here, the very word has fallen from the language due to disuse....that's right, there's no word for sun in danish...

Yay! Love seeing your creations. I can think of nothing more satisfying, therapeutic, and meditative than having my hands in clay. And it just seems like a natural extension of the creative work you do. So glad you are having fun with it. And what fun to be dying cotton with clay. I have an entire "clay clothes" wardrobe. :) Keep sharing. Love it!!
