what we have here is a failure to communicate

All together now, ready?  Awwwwwwww!!

Isn't that the sweetest little face?

Sweet face here popped up while we were tilling the garden.  His clever momma had built a little hutch right inside the confines of the garden fence and jr. who is now on his own, decided to stay.  We certainly didn't want the tiller to get him, but we didn't want to leave him in the garden either, so I brought him out to the side woods to set him free.  I held him for a minute, thinking briefly "aw, can't I keep him?" and then gently set him down, telling him "off to the woods with you, grow big and strong".  He sat for a few seconds obviously relieved to be free from his captor, stretched, then took a few hops.  In a moment his hops turned to running and my heart sang at the sight.  Then suddenly this furry little Flo-Jo banked left and ran...right...back...to...the...garden.

That is too sweet... Hopefully, your little visitor will get tired of the area before your plants get set in! :)

Oh well.
Plant something tasty that you won't mind sharing. Like hot peppers.
Bunnies love salsa.

Rofl. Sweet little fuzzy turd bunny. Maybe build him his own "private" garden or reinforce the fencing at a lower level with chicken wire or something smaller in the grid.

Now that's a communication failure I could get behind! I love Star of the East's comment that he chose you. : )

Silly wildlife. Don't they know they're supposed to live and eat in the WILD??? Good luck!

We have a sandbox in the back yard for play, completely on the other side of the house from our garden. Froggy has taken up residence, for two years, so each spring after she comes out of hibernation, we can't use the sandbox any more. This spring, I decided to relocate her to the garden, moved her gently, put her under an enormous, shady, garden plant, with a little dish of water and smiled at her brilliant new home. The next morning, I lifted the tarp off the sandbox, there she sat, looking up at me. She hopped all the way in the middle of the night right back. Home it shall be. :-)

Our last pet rabbit, Broccoli ate everything in the garden, is was like a goat had been at all the plants. She died of old age, and now we have Reggie rabbit, who doesn't eat anything apart from the grass.

Feed your liitle friend veg, he may not eat any of your plants. So sweet......x
