I was inspired by our lovely spring landscape to make this new brooch, titled "Minnesota in Spring". I've needled some lovely white Ramboillet wool into this scene, reflecting the splendor out my door.
I set it into a base I made of hickory wood.
Here you can see it against the landscape that inspired its design.
Even my children have been finding inspiration, and my youngest boy just completed this painting he's called "Drift". I think he did a great job. He even has the scale down perfectly.
I kid, of course. I do think I'm in the throes of cabin fever.
Hope you're having a lovely weekend, wherever you are.

I adore your sense of humor, my friend
thank goodness you manage to make fun of what feels heavy in the long run

Hope you get some rain to wash the snow away, and then some nice warm spring sunshine to get things growing. Everything is very slowly springing here, but many crops are affected, it's all a bit strange!! No grass in the fields for the sheep and lambs, it looks weird to see them in brown fields??
Okay, you guys are officially buggy up there. Officially. At least our snow has melted but there's more to come on Tuesday. That will last on the ground until, oh, July?
I got nuthin'.
I think the snow has affected you all!I hope it will melt soon!AriadnefromGreece!
Oh my! I will not complain about the weather here after seeing what you have there Lisa. Hope Spring gets there soon!!!
Thanks for sharing the swan in a snow storm brooch. :). I hope winter is over soon!
Love your art! :))
I hope your landscape gets a bit more colourful soon!
you can always make me laugh. We might as well embrace this weird spring. I was gardening yesterday even though my fingers were numb and my nose frozen cold. I was thinking of knitting little blankets for the snails that woke up way too soon.
Love it! I think we are having a similar spring here in Calgary.
