I had so much fun with last week's button Monday post that I spent a little time playing again this week. A selection of vintage beauties. Mostly plastic with some wood, glass, and leather.
love this celluloid wafer

That is so pretty! I understand why you wouldn't want to take it apart. What a cool tree - you should try making some wall art out of your button creations...or at least turn the photos into cards. :)
As usual, I love it!
Lisa, I just thought of something. . . you should sell prints of that second photo! I bet you'd have some takers!
Lovely, as ever.
I love it!
And I love May!
Great tree!
I'm so glad I found this. You've made me like Monday!
I think you should publish a book of these button art pieces. I know I would buy it
Happy Monday to you too, and beautiful tree!

This is making me look at my own button box in a whole new light! :)
I love the designs you have made with your buttons. I think that sewing or glueing it down and then framing it would be AWESOME. I may have to do this with some of my vintage buttons. Thanks. :D
It's indeed a nice idea, and it could be a concept for some clothing or something...
oh my...i'm loving these!
really caught the essence of the tree..each button is such fun to look at
So pretty! I love how you find the beauty in everything!
Piękne prace! Jestem zachwycona pomysłami i precyzją wykonania. Serdecznie pozdrawiam!
I would love to put your button tree into a t-shirt contest at Threadless. It is a contest sponsored by Threadless and Shutterstock. If we won, I'd split the $2000G with you...and it would pull a lot of Shutterstock attention to your fabulous photography. If interested, email me (Laura Brightwood) at brightwoods3 at gmail dot com. I only have till the 20th to pull it together.
That became so beautiful! Do you stick the buttons up?
Greetings from Germany!

This is awesome! I could do something like this on a smaller scale for a scrapbook page :)
FYI, your button tree has made it to Win! (part of the failblog collection): http://wins.failblog.org/2011/07/28/epic-win-photos-button-art-win/
I found this through wins.failblog.org mentioned in comment above, and I just wanted to say I love it, what a beautiful piece!
I just found your site via thechocolatemuffintree who led me to the crafty crow who led me to your button mondays, i love it. This particular piece(the tree) i loved but didnt understand what message you wanted me to see. After geography I showed my daughters 7 and 4 this picture and asked if they would like to do a craft like this and my 7yr old said "yea thats soo cool and look it says play in the middle" wow. How did she see that and i didnt...who knows but i am glad that it was in there. I wish you the best....tanya
Love this ideal, I am thinking of doing this for my 2 daughters using their grandmothers old buttons.
