I'm so excited about the beautiful pieces I'm seeing in the Crafting For Ourselves group on Flickr. These are things we've made for ourselves or our families. It shows we're enjoying our own talents a bit. Our group recently topped 105 members, how great is that? Won't you join us?
1. No pattern, just playing, 2. Rose Pin, 3. what to do while waiting for the storm to pass, 4. My hat, 5. repeat in red : the making of a missing pieces stone, 6. oh yes, quite tasty, 7. front brown sweater, 8. on my windowsill, 9. Button box
I have to boast a little...see that gorgeous silver and button necklace? It's mine! The talented Lynn Bowes made that for me as a thank you for sending her some vintage buttons. Can you believe it? While I'm not technically family, I am a friend and a lucky one at that, don't you think?
Made something for yourself lately? Even if you're not on Flickr, please share! I'd love to hear what you're working on.

Thanks so much for sharing on this topic !
I usually dedicate my birth month, August, to crafting for myself. By the time I arrive to this fabulous month- I have a pretty good idea of what I want to make for myself :)
I've been busier than usual this year so I'm a little tardy... so far I've made myself a Silk Tapestry Box for a new pendulum I made last month. I hope to make myself a Silk Tapestry Medicine Pouch next week as well as recreate a special necklace that I wear when doing my readings.
Will blog about them when I'm all done :)
What a happy thing that this group grows. I love your new necklace, it caught my eye straight-away, you deserve it!
That Sesame Street song is going through my head . . . "One of these things is not like the others, one of these things just doesn't belong . . "
I'm in seventh heaven that you love this necklace. Nothing makes me feel better than someone appreciating my handiwork.

Oh my goodness, those are my acorns!!! Thank you for including them....I seem to be acorn obsessed this year....got the old Fimo clay out and maybe I'll make some with that!!! But there are none better than your little felt ones.....I mean that sincerely.
Hi Lisa,
You always seem to find the most beautifull things and put them together in a blogpost!
