Monday Randomness

Random thoughts.

We had a good weekend here despite the youngest falling on the steps and cutting her cheek.
Hubby made soft pretzels which further convinces me we have some kind of mind-reading thing going on because I was just telling Joanie how much I loved his soft pretzels.
The kids watched a movie or three.
I sent some birch brooches on a flight to somewhere special.  Maybe I'll have something to share about them in a few months.
The baby girl has completely scribbled out the entire month of September in my planner.  So apparently my September is booked.
Food is my hot button and I could bore everyone to tears with my views, and probably did after reading this blog post.
Not many chores got done this weekend.
Which brings me to today...
Laundry, cleaning, soup in the crockpot.
Maybe crafting too, if I get away from this computer.

Have a good start to your week.

'if I can get away from my computer'... LOL
Yes, that monday; new week, new start, new options etc... but why do we so often end up at this computer!!! ;o)

sounds great, your weekend!

I always have a lot I could do if I could just get away from the computer, too. Darned magnetic pull. And that new Activity Feed thing they've got going on? Makes it all the harder to escape. :)

PS. I adore how baby girl booked your September. Too sweet!

Lisa, May I tell you that I just absolutely love, love, love your blog. I have it set as an RSS feed on my iGoogle page, and positioned it top and center. It's one of the first things I read when I get online to check my personal email (usually even before I check my work email for the day!!). I enjoy checking in to see what new crafty venture your are starting or finishing, or what tiniest of nature's wonders you have captured with your camera. Thank you for adding a bit of inspiration to my day! Got a kick out of the Bird of Paradise song this a.m. ;)

I think what E wrote in September is that you are coming here for a few days. She just wanted to block the month so you could choose the days yourself. Go ahead, ask her :: lynnie

Those brooches are sweet and I am jealous of your cinnamon-bun-pretzel-baking man.

Wish I had a PA like that, blocking out September for me now. ;)

Every time I read your blog I'm left itching to know how you've made something so beautifully. Those birch buttons/brooches are no exception. Truly lovely.

hello sweet friend
sorry little miss injured this weekend, I hope she's healing properly. I thought I had asked her to block a day or two in July so that we can meet ... damn it, she didn't understand me. That must be the French accent of aunt Z. LOL
Your brooches are to die for. I can't wait to hear more about the secret recipient of these bundles of beauty ....
sending you all my warmest hugs xoxo
keep warm

Greetje - seriously, isn't that just the way? All you people need to stop being so interesting so I can get some work done. :)

Candacejean - I know! That activity feed might be the best/worst thing Etsy has done to me.

Cheryl - you have completely made my day. Thank you so much.

Lynn - you might be right.

Tara and Life - It's been months since he's made me pretzels so I was so surprised and excited when I walked in. Sometimes he's a keeper.

Thanks Scrapiana. I was glad I was asked to revisit those brooches because I do enjoy them. The cold eased up just enough for me to cut some wood this weekend too, so it seemed meant to be.

Z - lol! That darn french accent!

Margie - right back atcha, my friend.
