Sugar Snow Candy

What to do when mother nature dumps another 8" of snow on top of your existing mountain of snow?

Make maple candy.

Want to try it?  Check out this site for directions.

That looks crisp and super sweet! I was of a mind to make Snickerdoodles yesterday when I realized I was out of shortening and nearly all my sugar. It's a baker's bane when you're out of sugar or flour...

Thanks for the reminder - I want to do that this winter! Haven't made maple snow candy in years (like before braces years)! So if we get more snow that will be the silver lining. :)
