If there is a Sharpie marker in the house, anywhere in the house, my kids will find it.
Yesterday there was apparently a Sharpie in the house, and sure enough, they found it.
And cleverly wrote their names on the stockings I made a few years ago. It was good thinking really, and though I initially gasped and said "ah! Noooo!" My "no" quickly faded to "ahhhh go ahead".
I know I'll love this added touch when they're older.
Though whoever "Ernid" is might need to do a little explaining.

Oh the sharpies! Mine always find them too and usually decorate themselves, faces, legs, finger and toe nails. Gotta love them.(kids not the sharpies) :)
Oh yes, my youngest Erin (not Ernid) loves to make herself a cat by drawing whiskers and coloring in her nose and eyelids with markers. Usually before some family event that requires us to go in public. Rubbing alcohol and lots of soap and water help. ;)
My kid LOVES sharpies. I find things initialed all the time - marking territory for modern kids?
I like Ernid. That one's a winner!
I am sitting here laughing my butt off. I too thought, "Oh no, those stockings are incredible!" but I agree, you will love it when they're older. The whole "Ernid" thing is still cracking me up. Merry Christmas to you and your beautiful family.
Too Wonderful!!
what about AVEN? :-) there's some explaining there too methinks. :-) i think i recall a similar ability to detect chocolate and lucky charms. :-)
You're the right kind of mama. I'll remember this when the time comes, the grace you give to little creatives :) xoxox
Yes...this brings back memories. I'm glad you can look at it with a future perspective! Have a great Christmas with your family.

( Next time E fancies herself a cat, try a spray can of brake parts cleaner. It'll removed everything it comes in contact with so careful with that rag. )
What is it about those sharpies?! I feel your pain....., and yes, when they look back on it and realize, I bet the looks on their faces will be priceless!
I have to admit, this made me laugh out loud. Oh well, they obviously love their stockings! A sweet memory for sure!
Oh, I missed this. Such mixed feelings. An abundance of love. : )
