What I'm Focusing On

Sunlight is casting shadows on my wall. (stop looking at the dust on the mirror...it's flocking.  Flocking I say!)

The Blue Jays are visiting my feeder.

And deer are visiting it too.

It's Spring Break so there are 4 kids home.  Thankfully the weather is supposed to warm up a bit so there will be snowmen built and wet boots drying by the woodstove.

Projects have been mailed off and now several half-completed projects will need to be completed.  I feel in the groove this morning and hoping it continues for the next few weeks.

I hope you all have a good week ahead of you, and despite all that's happening in the world, you find some good things to focus on too.

Thanks Jovita. We'll have snow here for a while. It normally melts in April then we get one more good snow before mother nature decides to give us spring.

Jules - with the wood stove nearly everything in this house is flocked.

Corrine - you're absolutely right. :D

Kristin - so much more festive than "dust" isn't it?

dust, what dust, it is but a figment of the vacuum cleaners imagination.

There is no dust in my house, only Halloween ambiance I'm saving up for October . . . :)

I don't see any dust. Besides, there should be dust in the home of a wood craftperson. I made that term up but you know what I mean. I am not envious of your snow but i am envious of your deer friends.

You all are too kind.

Heidi - I'm totally using that...my shelves aren't dusty, I'm just decorating for Halloween early this year...

You know how much Martha Stewart is charging for bottled flocking? A lot. If you find that you have some Halloween ambiance to spare, maybe the kids could gather the flocking, bottle it, add food coloring and sell it for pocket money.

Just an idea.

I know that I wouldn't haven't enough Halloween ambiance for at least another 10 years. Nope, I can't spare any of the flocking on my mirror, windowsills, shelves, mingling with the cat hair...

I admitt it is hard to focus on the good things these days, even though it's what we shall do (me first). But my heart really hurts for many people these days, and this, is hard to forget.
Enjoy your spring break with the "little" ones. Please give them all a big hug from aunt Z.
and one extra big hug for you, my friend xoxo
