Dandelion puffs and flooded basements

It's been a full week here and I wish I could say it was full of fun but alas...it was one of those kind of weeks.  Instead of crafting I've been busy tending to a flooding basement, busy kids, and a bouncing puppy - who I'm convinced is like having a sugared-up 2 year old with sharper teeth.  And no diaper.

We're forecasted for a weekend full of rain but I'm wishing on dandelion puffs that it doesn't come true.

Speaking of hopeful, look where Mr. Robin built a nest for his beloved...right in our potted tree on our back porch.  I hate to take down all of his hard work so I'm going to slide the tree away from the house/kids/puppy/traffic/grill smoke.  I guess this is a better location for a nest than the gutter bird from last year but sometimes you really have to wonder.

Wishing you all a wonderful long weekend.

LOL your puppy description, so true. Sorry about the flooded bAsement, nothing nastier than dealing with wet yuck. Home your weekend is a more relaxing family one. xox Corrine

Thank you for the good wishes. Between the baseball-sized hail that barely missed our neighborhood and the week of insane tornadic weather we just had down here I'd trade you for a few days of "rest & reprive".

My sympathies for the flooded basement. I cringe at the sight of any kind of water around the house where it shouldn't be. We have had septic system issues for the last few months and are super excited about the brand new septic tank that is now sitting in our driveway waiting to be installed next week. Yes, super excited about a septic tank. I think we need a holiday. Sending wishes for a dry basement your way.

I had to see the before when I saw the after... those magnificent robin's blue eggs. I do hope the mommy can take all the mayhem. Really, a puppy does push things over the top, no? I wish you all the best of luck!

Did it really rain whole weekend? If I didn't know better, I'd say that you were probably dreaming of dandelion puffs, and that's why you put pictures of them here. Well, you will see them next spring! ;)
