Ha. I think they like all the traffic because it affords protection from true predators. I had one nest right by my backdoor. But the robin couple must have seen us all trouping in and out. They all flew out of the nest yesterday--into the cold and rainy world. Now I'm spending all day worrying about them.
Oh that industrious and clever Mr Robin, he obviously knew Mrs Robin was ready to pop out those eggs. Wonderful colour and photo too. Sorry to hear you've had your hands full this week. Flooded basements are no fun and boy do I know what a handful sharp-toothed pups are. I hope the sun shines for you at the weekend and you're able to steal a few moments for you :) Jx
these blue eggs look so precious ... I have never seen any like those over here ... on the other hand, you have so many different & colorful birds in Northern America, that we don't have here in Europe. I hope these eggs are safe now. xoxo

isn't that colour so so beautiful?
They are incredible! I wish I was able to see them in person, right like this in the nest.
Beautiful! Now your tree is decorated perfectly!
How sweet! When will they hatch?
You know, when nature calls.........

Birds build such beautiful nests. They never cease to amaze me! And you gotta love Robin's egg blue.
